International corporations, carrying out foreign trade operations, companies participating in international trade is steady demand produced on foreign currency (in part of importers) and suggestion of currency (exporters), and also placed and attracted free currency tailings in short-term deposits. Thus these organizations of direct access to the currency market, as a rule, do not have and conduct conversion and deposit operations through commercial banks.

Brokerage firms have combined role on the market. In their function there are taking of buyer and salesman of foreign currency and realization of conversion or deposit-credit operations between them. For the brokerage firms raise broker's charge. On FOREX a commission as a percent from the sum of transaction or as the prepaid certain sum is usually absent. As a rule, the dealers of broker-companies make operations with currency including spread in the final sum (spread is a difference between the cost of purchase and cost of sale which is expressed in amount of points). A brokerage firm possessing information about the inquired courses is a place, where the real rate of exchange on already made bargains is formed. Commercial banks get information about the current level of course from brokerage firms. Among broker companies at the international currency markets are such most known, as Lasser Marshall, Harlow Butler, Tullett and Tokyo, Union Call, CMC, Coutts, Tradition etc.

Financial companies carrying out the foreign investments of assets (Investment Fund, Money Market Funds, International Corporation) are the next "players". These companies represent a different type of market-members by international investment funds which are busy carrying out the policy of the diversified management by the brief-case of assets, placing facilities in securities of governments and corporations of different countries. On the dealer slang main of them are named simply "funds", the fund of "Quantum" George Soros is most known of them. To this type of firms large international corporations carrying out foreign production investments belong also (creation of branches, joint ventures etc.).

Private individuals are the final ones at this market. Physical persons conduct the wide spectrum of non-auction operations in part of foreign transactions of wages, pensions, fees, purchases and sales of foreign currency. It also is the most numerous group conducting currency operations with speculative aims.
